Hmm, maxima needs poly solve enabled for these kind of equations.

Hi. Using isol, which is written in SMath. It can't handle both roots at the same time, but it can one at a time.

One more question, the yellow "system of value or equations“ has only two placeholders by default, how to add more?

For any structure with variable number of placeholders, you can add them by typing the argument separator komma or semicolon, and delete placeholders by pressing the delete or backspace key. Lists and matrices can be reshaped by dragging their lower right corner with the mouse
