I am seriously considering moving within Canada because I feel stuck in one place: my job in Toronto is stable but uninspiring, the city is expensive, and I want more culture, French language, and the feeling that life does not revolve solely around the office. Is it realistic to consider Montreal as a new start if you don't want to change your entire career right away but are looking for a change in lifestyle?

This is a very typical and at the same time healthy request — the desire not to "run away," but to reformat your life, and here the route from Toronto to Montreal can become not just a move, but a symbol of a transition to a different rhythm: Montreal is cheaper to live in, culturally richer, with a strong creative environment and a more human pace, and the distance between the cities allows you to maintain ties with Toronto — that's why many people start with regular trips, exploring options through Toronto to Montreal  before making a final decision.
